For Josh and Marie, the recognition continues six consecutive years of selection. Elizabeth has now been recognized for three consecutive years, while Martha joins the Florida Rising Stars list for the first time in 2026.

Together, the selections recognize attorneys working across several areas of the firm’s practice, including family law, personal injury, criminal defense and appellate matters.

Joshua G. Sheridan, 2026 Super Lawyers

Selected to Super Lawyers for six consecutive years (2021–2026) as a top-rated Family Law attorney in Tampa, Florida.

Joshua G. Sheridan is a Managing Partner and Shareholder of Busciglio Sheridan & Schoeb whose practice focuses on divorce and family law, including complex and high-net-worth divorce, military divorce and contested family matters. Before entering private practice, he served as an Assistant State Attorney for Florida’s Sixth Judicial Circuit, where he participated in more than 100 jury trials while prosecuting misdemeanor and felony cases.

Today, Josh represents business owners, executives, professionals, military families and other clients facing divorce and family-law matters involving significant financial interests, children or sensitive personal and professional considerations. His extensive courtroom background continues to inform his approach to family law, where preparation, judgment and the ability to litigate when necessary can become important parts of the overall strategy.

His 2026 selection marks six consecutive years of recognition by Super Lawyers.

Marie S. Schoeb, 2026 Rising Stars

Selected to Super Lawyers, Rising Stars list for six consecutive years (2021–2026) as a top-rated Personal Injury & Criminal Defense attorney in Tampa, Florida.

Marie S. Schoeb is a Managing Partner and Shareholder of Busciglio Sheridan & Schoeb whose practice focuses primarily on personal injury, including serious injury and wrongful death matters, with additional experience in insurance litigation and criminal defense. Before entering private practice, she served as an Assistant State Attorney in Florida’s Sixth Judicial Circuit and was promoted to Lead Trial Attorney during her time at the State Attorney’s Office.

Her prosecutorial work included cases ranging from DUI matters to serious felony offenses. Today, that trial background informs her representation of individuals and families in personal injury, wrongful death and insurance matters, as well as clients facing criminal charges.

Marie works to understand the facts and evidence involved, prepare the case carefully and help clients understand the legal issues and decisions that may arise as their matter moves forward.

The 2026 selection marks Marie’s sixth consecutive year on the Florida Rising Stars list.

Elizabeth Burchell, 2026 Rising Stars

Selected to Super Lawyers, Rising Stars list for 2024, 2025 & 2026 as a top-rated Family Law attorney in Tampa, Florida.

Elizabeth Burchell‍ ‍is a Partner at Busciglio Sheridan & Schoeb whose practice includes family law and appellate matters. She represents clients in divorce, child custody and timesharing, paternity, child support, termination of parental rights, adoption and appeals.

Her professional background also includes service as a Guardian ad Litem and Attorney ad Litem representing the interests of children in difficult family and dependency matters. That experience gives her additional perspective in family-law cases where children and parenting issues are central to the dispute.

Elizabeth’s appellate practice requires a different form of advocacy, including careful review of the trial-court record, legal research and written argument. Her experience in both trial-level family matters and appeals allows her to work with clients through disputes that may extend beyond the trial court’s decision.

Her 2026 selection marks her third consecutive year of recognition by Rising Stars.

Martha Aristizabal, 2026 Rising Stars

Selected to Super Lawyers, Rising Stars for 2026 as a top-rated Family Law attorney in Tampa, Florida.

Martha Aristizabal is a Partner at Busciglio Sheridan & Schoeb and a bilingual Tampa family law attorney. Fluent in English and Spanish, she represents individuals and families in divorce and other family-law matters and also has professional experience in U.S. immigration law.

Her professional background includes alternative dispute resolution as well as Guardian ad Litem and Attorney ad Litem experience involving children. She is admitted to The Florida Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Martha works with clients to understand the circumstances surrounding their matter, identify the legal and practical issues involved and determine an appropriate path forward.

We’re especially pleased to see Martha recognized for the first time this year.

About the Super Lawyers Selection Process

Super Lawyers recognizes attorneys across more than 70 practice areas using a patented, multiphase selection process. Attorneys enter the candidate pool through peer nominations or identification by the Super Lawyers research team. Candidates are then evaluated through independent research and peer review, including 12 indicators of professional achievement and peer recognition.

Selection is limited. Five percent of attorneys in each state are selected to the Super Lawyers list, while 2.5 percent are selected to Rising Stars. Rising Stars candidates must also be either 40 years old or younger or have practiced law for 10 years or less.

Attorneys do not pay to be selected, and Super Lawyers states that advertising has no bearing on the selection process.

Four Attorneys. One Standard.

Awards are worth recognizing, but they are not what defines the work of a law firm.

Our clients come to us when something important in their lives has become uncertain. Sometimes that means the end of a marriage or a dispute involving their children. Sometimes it follows an arrest, a serious injury or a disagreement with an insurance company.

These situations are personal. The consequences are real. How a case is prepared and handled matters.

That is why preparation has always been central to how we practice law at Busciglio Sheridan & Schoeb.

We congratulate Josh, Marie, Elizabeth and Martha on their 2026 recognition. More importantly, we’re proud of the work they do for the people who place their trust in this firm.
